ASEAN China – The ASEAN China Investment Fund L.P. had its final close in 2005.  Since then there have been several reiterations of the fund, with the ASEAN China Investment Fund L.P. V having its final close in August 2023. The Funds’ focus their operations in the ASEAN-China Growth Corridor, comprising the 10 member-states of ASEAN and the People’s Republic of China.  The Funds’ target privately negotiated equity and equity related investments in small and medium sized companies, particularly those that can benefit from the rapidly expanding trade and investment ties between ASEAN and China and their respective extra-regional trading partners.  Since their inception, the Funds’ have incorporated Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria and analysis in their investment process.

United Pet Investors Fund LP (UPIF) – UPIF seeks to capitalize on growth trends in pet spending ($153 billion in 2024) by focusing on the luxury pet accommodation sector and related opportunities in the USA.  The strategy is to build a scaled, integrated enterprise that owns and manages pet accommodation/daycare centers under the leading nation luxury brand, K9 Resorts Luxury Pet Hotel while owning both a stake in the franchisor and resorts. The Fund’s investment team is comprised of a skilled professional team with core competencies in hospitality, franchising, finance, operations, and development.


REAL ESTATE



HUB Advisors LLC (HUB) is a joint venture between UOBGC and Hampshire to source and to act as an asset advisor in regard to real estate investments and associated debt investments for the benefit of institutional clients. HUB leverages the long established multi sector capabilities of the Hampshire Platform together with UOBGC’s investment, marketing, investor relationship and administrative capabilities. Added to this, the UOB Group’s prestigious Asia  Regional Platform will enhance HUB’s offerings. HUB’s  activities  include acting  as a strategic advisor to its clients by assisting  in assessing market conditions and developing investment strategies that match established targeted investment objectives. HUB will identify potential real estate opportunities within the established investment objectives and negotiate acquisition prices and conduct the due diligence process of potential acquisitions. HUB will arrange and coordinate the placement and closing of acquisition financing.

United Hampshire US Real Estate Investment Trust – Listed on the Main Board of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited on 12 March 2020, United Hampshire US REIT is a Singapore real estate investment trust (“REIT”) established with the principal investment strategy of investing in a diversified portfolio of stabilized income-producing grocery-anchored and necessity-based retail properties and modern, climate-controlled self-storage facilities located in the United States of America. UOB Eagle Rock Multi-Family Property Fund I and II were Delaware Limited Partnerships. The Funds raised about US$ 313  million which was deployed in portfolios of stable, income producing multifamily apartment communities generating  current income for regular distribution, targeting stable and robust equity returns of  13- 18% net IRR. The Funds’ emphasis is on markets in the Northeastern corridor in the United States between Washington D.C., to the South, and Boston, Massachusetts, to the North. This is a specialized area of real estate requiring both the ability to identify and acquire on advantageous terms select properties but also to operate these properties. The key is to ensure maximum occupancy, control costs and capital maintenance and increase rentals over time. This approach provides reliable yields, with regular tax effective distributions and over time, capital appreciation.  Selected assets of these Funds have been rolled up in to successor vehicles.


LISTED EQUITY



Asia-Pacific – This strategy seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation and regular income through investing in shares of companies listed on Asian-Pacific emerging & developed markets.

Asia ex Japan – This strategy seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation and regular income through investing in shares of companies listed on Asian ex Japan emerging & developed markets.

Asian Small Cap – This strategy seeks to achieve long-term capital growth by investing primarily in small capitalization stocks and stock-related securities issued by corporations in the Asian ex Japan emerging & developed markets.

Greater China – This strategy seeks long term capital growth through investing in securities that have businesses in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan. The main markets invested are the Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Taiwan Stock Exchanges.

Japan – This strategy seeks long term capital growth through investing in companies with assets in, or revenue derived from Japan.

U.S All Cap – This strategy seeks to provide long term capital growth by investing primarily in US equities, not limited to a particular market capitalization.  The investment team focuses primarily on common stocks that it believes to be undervalued, at the time of purchase, relative to their intrinsic economic worth.

Global Equities – This strategy seeks to provide long term capital growth by investing global equities, not limited to a particular market capitalization.  The investment team focuses primarily on common stocks that it believes to be undervalued, at the time of purchase, relative to their intrinsic economic worth.


FIXED INCOME



Asian Fixed Income – This strategy seeks to provide stable current income and capital appreciation by investing in debt securities issued by Asian corporations, financial institutions, governments and their agencies (including money market instruments).

Renminbi Bond Fund – This strategy seeks to generate fixed income returns and benefit from the potential appreciation of the Renminbi over the medium term by investing primarily in Renminbi denominated debt securities issued or distributed outside mainland China.  The issuers of such securities include, but are not limited to, governments, quasi-government bodies, international and multinational organizations, banks and financial institutions and corporations.

Emerging Market Debt – This strategy seeks to maximize returns with high yield and capital appreciation over the longer term in emerging markets debt investments and products.


EXCHANGE TRADED FUNDS (ETF’S)



Inflation Beneficiaries ETF – An Active ETF (traded on the NYSE Arca) that seeks to provide positive real investment returns in an inflationary macroeconomic environment. The Fund seeks to achieve this by investing in the public equity securities of profitable businesses which the manager believes are also inflation beneficiaries with scalable, economically resilient business models.

Horizon Kinetics Full-Cycle Inflation Equity Fund – A UCITs ETF traded on Euronext Amsterdam seeks long-term growth of capital in real (inflation-adjusted) terms. The Fund is actively-managed and aims to provide positive real investment returns in an inflationary macroeconomic environment. The Fund seeks to achieve this by investing in the public equity securities of profitable businesses which the manager believes are also inflation beneficiaries with scalable, economically resilient business models.
